Korean Mountains

Why South Korea?

South Korea, home of many mountains

South Korea is a very mountainous area because was it built on very rocky terrain. 70% of the country is mountainous and as of 2022, it's had a (minimum) population of 51 million people.
There are 21 national parks, but the only areas of true wilderness left are the mountain forests. Most of its wealth comes from manufacturing and service industries, such as banking. It exports ships, cars, computers, and other electronic items.
Daejeon is a great little city in the middle of the country. It's also the central transportation hub for the entirety of Korea.
I taught at a middle school with over 1000 students. I taught grades 1 & 2 (grades 7 & 8 in Korea) and I loved every minute of it. The kids were so great, even when they drove me a bit crazy. I needed to leave due to medical reasons, and I sometimes wish I could go back, but it's someone else's turn to fill in my spot.
